Mark Manney is an American Musician, Writer, and Social Commentator who uses the alias “Abscondo” to share his ideas across multiple communication channels and art-forms.

Some ideas are best expressed through the emotion of music. Abscondo is a solo recording artist who released a well-received debut album called "Midnight Snow" in 2008. In late 2011, the artist released an ambitious full-length called "Victory in a Landlocked Sea" via Creative Commons. In 2012, Abscondo takes the form of a full 5-piece band to perform tracks from these albums in Europe.

Some ideas are best expressed through writing. Since 2004, on the Abscondo Blog, Mark Manney has put together a philosophy that addresses the quest for life meaning, authentic living, genuine success, and true love in a profoundly sick world. In 2011, Mark also published his anti-corporatist political manifesto "Love It or Leave It: The End of Government as the Problem."

Still other ideas are best expressed through the dynamics of conversation. In addition to his regular Abscondo Podcast on iTunes, Mark has appeared as a controversial guest on dozens of American commercial Talk Radio shows in support of his book. It should also be noted that his music has also been played on dozens of independent, college radio stations across North America.

Mark Manney is from Seattle, but spends most of his time in Eastern Europe with his wife and young daughter.
