Where can I find protection?

This persistent feeling of vulnerability is the consequence of separation. For the thousands of years since the fall—by this I mean the original separation, the rise of the ego and all of civilization that has followed—we have been driven mad by the dreadful fear that flows from what seems to be unavoidable impermanence and vulnerability.

If there were a different way—a way to feel completely safe and protected—would we not choose it?

There is a choice and it is between the two opposing masters of ego and spirit. These separate thought systems and states of being cannot understand each other. By choosing one, the other is instantly thrown away. One brings peace and joy. The other brings chaos and disaster. What is the purpose of what you have chosen? What is it for?

The ego does seek protection in the form of safety, knowledge, abundance and love. But this the ego cannot deliver. True protection must be lasting and the realm of the ego is temporary, changing, and unstable. The only result of egoic doing is vulnerability, which may be the source of all fear and suffering.

Spirit is eternal and delivers permanent protection. Awaken to spirit and your soul is freed from fear because you are no longer vulnerable to anything of this world. You are aligned with true power and full knowledge, which comes to you in the energy of love. This is a light that never dims and cannot be threatened. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

If you had a choice, would you choose suffering or joy? (Eckhart Tolle)

If you think about recent history, turn on the news, or even watch a popular movie, you instantly realize that the world is in a state of madness and insanity. It would seem perfectly natural to react with negative feelings such as fear and outrage. But, as Eckhart Tolle explains in The Power of Now, “Sanity is there underneath the madness. Healing and redemption are available right now.”

How can this be? We are taught to seek change by fighting the system or trying to change others. Experience tells us that this is impossible. Thus, we learn to give-up and give-in to suffering, despair, and complaint. Uninspired, we live as if we have no power and no influence.

Yet, “If you really knew deeply that everything is okay, which of course is true, then would you have those negative feelings in the first place?” Madness cannot be cured by negativity. Violence cannot be ended through attack. To heal ourselves is the only power we have; yet this is the only power great enough to heal the whole world. We need only access the power of now.

Now, look not at your life situation or the state of the world. Look only at your actual present moment in this time and place. Start with full acceptance of what is in your reality, here and now. Breathe. Are there any problems now? Learn to live from this place. If your present moment is not okay, you have three options: leave, change it, or accept it. Whatever the outcome of your decision, accept it. Have patience, follow your intuition, have faith.

Learn to live from a place beneath the insanity. Until then, nobody is going to take away your right to suffer. If this is what you want, you are free to suffer. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

The ego judges only in terms of threat or non-threat to itself. (A Course in Miracles).

The basis of the ego’s insanity is its selfish dedication to self-preservation—even if this comes with great effort and pain. Any form of diminishment is a threat to the ego. Being wrong, insulted, perceived as inferior, not getting what it wants, or losing any contest may result in an embarrassing childlike tantrum. At some point, we’ve all been there. “What came over me?” you may ask days later. It was the ego merely doing what it does.

On a more serious level, loss of a job, a relationship, fame, physical beauty or wealth will likely result in a state of depression. In this state, the ego becomes so fearful and hopeless that a person may make the error of abusing drugs or alcohol to numb the pain or, in the most extreme cases, even suicide to attempt to end it.

There is only one way to end the pain and suffering caused by the ego. Ironically, the only escape is what the ego fears most—the death and destruction of it by the real you. This ultimate diminishment of the ego is the awakened consciousness flowing through you—brought with the simple realization that you are not your ego and that the ego need not be.

To live in the egoic state is normal in this world, but as A Course in Miracles states, this need not be. Where you look to find yourself is up to you. Let your ego kick and scream for a while as it dies this slow death, but all nightmares end when we awaken. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

Love will enter immediately into any mind that truly wants it. (A Course in Miracles)

“But you must want it truly. This kind of wanting is wholly without the ego’s drive to get.”

There is nothing you need to get from anyone to access perfect love. Yet, love does want to be shared. So, as soon as you find it within you, it will flow from you in the form of giving and creating. Access the love within and other beautiful souls will show up and will be attracted to you. Now you experience perfect love both alone and with others. This is the way of relationship bliss.

There is no difference between love, God, and what you are. Know this and your knowledge is complete. Herein lies everything—abundance, power, beauty, awakening, salvation, liberation, and consciousness.

You will not arrive at this truth through the perception of ego. Ego seeks but never finds. The ego’s goal is self-preservation and truth is the death of the ego. It is, therefore, impossible to change your life while remaining within the ego. The ego is the cause of all problems and it must be left behind completely if anything is going to change.

If you are ever going to succeed at love and life, it is by accessing a knowing and feeling that rests beyond the mind. You need only want this truly and it is yours now. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

Salvation does not apply to spirit, which is not in danger and does not need to be salvaged. (A Course in Miracles)

A Course in Miracles states that “salvation is nothing more than right-mindedness.” Right-mindedness is a state of full knowledge, accessible only when you have gone beyond perception and interpretation.

This awakened state of salvation—also called rebirth, consciousness, or liberation—is blocked only by our perception not allowing us to recognize that we are spirit. To realize that all perception is unnecessary and meaningless is to remove the block.

How is it possible to not perceive? This is a reasonable question. Who is the “you” that is living in this world? Who is the observer of your mind? Who is witnessing the voice in your head? Who is the “you” that wants love and acceptance, wants to create, senses beauty, wants to feel good, and wants to be happy? There is a part of you that is the same as everyone else. That’s your soul, your spirit. It isn’t a “thing”, but it is who you are—and it is beyond perception.

The ego sees differences. Differences exist on the level of form, which is changing and unstable. The mind’s ability to perceive will continue even after spiritual awakening—but because you know your true identity, perception becomes nothing more than a practical tool to help you function on the physical plane.

On the level of spirit, you are already complete in the oneness of knowledge and beauty. There is nothing you need to get or find because here nothing is missing. You need only remember what you are. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

I Am Community Update | How to use I Am Statements

Let’s make our community a welcoming place for new members. You can help improve the experience by using the "I Am by Infobeing" mobile app to create some new Statements.

What are I Am Statements?
The idea behind the I Am by Infobeing mobile app is to connect compatible people by matching our compatible statements. A statement is a structured sentence describing your needs and wants as it relates to other people.

Who do you want to meet? What kind of products or services are you offering others or buying? Create as many statements as you can describing all your needs and wants.

How to create a good I Am Statement:
When you enter a new statement by using the form at the top of the app, the first step is to choose the Verb from the following options:

Meeting, Offering, Purchasing, Working, Hiring

Verb matching is determined as follows:

Offering matches Purchasing
Working
matches Hiring
Meeting
matches Meeting

All non-transactional statements would fall under “meeting”. Here are a few good examples of statements:

“I am meeting a man to be my salsa-dancing partner. You can travel with me to a festival in Puerto Rico.”
“I am purchasing hand-made art including paper art, paintings or other crafts.”
“I am meeting someone who is an experienced drummer to join my band.”

When the Verb filter matches, the words comprising the rest of the sentence are matched to the words of other users (as well as to your profile keywords). Because the community is still small, we are seeing many false matches. But as the community grows, we’ll set the filtering to be more rigid and the matches will become increasingly relevant.

Why create a bunch of thoughtful statements now?
Stating your needs allows other people to fulfill them. Yes, we’re still a very small community – but have to start somewhere. I approach influencers every day. Let’s make sure that, when they join, they’ll be impressed! Your example will help all new members see the potential of what we’re creating.

I believe that matching people according to compatible needs and wants is a breakthrough. As the I Am Community grows, we will be able to meet exactly the right people more easily than fate. No more browsing social media profiles, no more judging others on the basis of looks or tastes. I Am connects us by what matters most: what we need and want.

Imagine a day when you’ll be able to create statements about anything and you’ll instantly match with exactly the right person to fulfill it. No spamming, no advertising, no hours and hours spent searching — just instant connections with compatible people who share your purpose.

We have a lot to do to grow this community. You can help by taking a few minutes to create a few more thoughtful I Am Statements. Please don’t wait for others to do it. You can go first. Write [email protected] with any questions.

Is acceptance and forgiveness a form of weakness?

As Eckhart Tolle explains, “Be at least as interested in what goes on inside you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place. Primary reality is within. Secondary reality without.”

What kinds of thoughts is your mind thinking? What do you feel? Direct your attention into the body. Is there any tension? Once you detect some unease, “See in what way you are avoiding, resisting, or denying life by denying the now.”

Are you resisting your job? Resenting a person who is close to you? Unable to forgive? Do you fear losing something you believe defines you? Unwilling to do what you are expected to do? Feel and accept the emotion. Is this an energy you would choose to have inside you? Maybe what you feel is justified or true, but nonetheless you are resisting what is. By resisting, you are creating negativity within yourself and harming yourself. You have a choice.

You are free, and liberation starts by looking inward, at your inner state. This can only be done with an intense awareness of the now. Liberate your inner world, then begin to change the situation on the outside. From presence, you begin to act in love and harmony. You speak your beautiful truth, you serve others wisely and effectively, you help, you listen. But you cannot do any of this while resisting what is.

Acceptance clears the path to liberation, which leads to inspiration and which leads to the possibility of real change. Acceptance is not a form of weakness; it is a source of power and strength. But even if you cannot change the outside, so what? “Nothing real can be threatened. When this is your state of being, how can you not succeed? You have succeeded already.” We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

Quotes taken from The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

You have never failed

Yesterday we realized how ego fails and spirit persists. Now with clear eyes, we see that failure is nothing more than a misguided decision—a meaningless choice to throw your hands up in frustration and give up. Today we undo decisions of failure.

If you believe you have failed, you’re not done yet. Go back. Inject spirit into problematic relationships and endeavors. Revive, reincarnate, resurrect those failures with consciousness. Creative action done from the place of consciousness cannot fail and will persist eternally. Just keep going.

How do we keep going to undo past failures? With unconditional, limitless love. With present-moment awareness. With meditation. We now recognize that the state of being is what matters, not the quantity of doing. We now connect with essence identity each day. We do and act from this place while remaining at the center of the wheel. If your doing feels fun, stress-free, and effortless, then you are creating from spirit. If not, stop doing anything and get to that place.

Why do we need to go back and undo past failures? Because through those problematic relationships, projects, and endeavors you have learned unique skills and abilities. Those experiences, which are unique to your mind and body, were given to you for a purpose. Escape the ego, surrender, and allow spirit to use your skills and abilities to serve all of humanity.

Maybe moving forward is as simple as going back to undo failure. This is healing. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

Ego quits, while spirit persists

To play the ego game is to devote your life energy to a game that cannot be won. Ego is a fool’s game that will lead you into failure by design.

Ego is out-of-control mind activity and perception. Constantly interpreting and reinterpreting, it’s arguments and strategies are never consistent. Never certain of the course or how to get there, the ego reacts with fear, confusion, paralysis, procrastination and inaction. Utterly clueless and useless, it still attempts to get what it wants through attack, image-projection, boastfulness and dishonesty.

Despite its inability to create anything of value, ego-driven doing always expects immediate results. When results are not immediate, others are blamed and the egoic person gives up.

Spirit is knowing. Anything created through spirit endures eternally. This includes not only creative pursuits, projects and business ventures—but also relationships. When a person awakens to spirit and lives from this place, all doing is directly connected to knowing.

Anything created in spirit is designed for the soul. On the level of the soul, we are eternally all the same. Spirit-based creating, therefore, is successful because it is embraced by everyone forever on the level of the soul.

Furthermore, spirit never gives up. Because it is love, it gives without conditions or expectations. Time is not real to spirit, so from here patience is limitless. Learn to live from spirit and you will never fail again. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.

Is there joy, ease, or lightness in what I am doing? (Eckhart Tolle)

Yesterday we discussed the difference between making from the ego and creating from the depth of consciousness. As we go through our days, as we strive toward our goals and do what we do, how can we know whether we are creating or merely making?

Eckhart Tolle explains, “If there is no joy, ease, or lightness in what you are doing, it doesn’t necessarily mean you need to change what you’re doing. It may be sufficient to change the how. ‘How’ is always more important than ‘what’. See if you can give more attention to the doing than to the result you want to achieve from it.”

Humanity is currently going through the greatest shift in ages—the shift from the fallen, mind-dominated state to an awakened state. To reach this state on an individual level is called salvation, atonement, enlightenment, awareness, and there are many other words used to describe the awakened state. But what happens when a critical mass of the population reaches this state together?

To reach this state on a massive scale is called the consciousness revolution—which is the only real revolution and humanity’s only chance of survival. Any revolution that involves attacking or trying to destroy a problem will fail to produce the desired result. The consciousness revolution attacks nothing. Through it, we quietly create a new Earth by simply forming honest and accepting relationships and then creating together in harmony from a place of joy, ease, and lightness. We live and create from a place of feeling good. We continue tomorrow and each day after that.
